I’m Isabelle Anderson, the founder & principal teacher at Performance Communication, LLC.
I provide coaching and training services to leaders, so they can make their mark through powerful public presence and communication skills.
My work combines a deep background in theater, oration, and the martial arts with years of experience coaching CEOs, senior executives, authors, creatives, politicians, and others in public life.
I’ve distilled theater’s time-proven techniques for how to influence a room, build unique presence, use language powerfully, connect to the audience, and convey a message.
I’ve adapted these techniques to the needs of today’s leaders into my signature method for building communication mastery and leadership effectiveness.
The fine print
I have an Honors degree in English Literature and Drama from Queensland University, Australia. I’m a qualified voice and speech teacher, with LSDA from Australian Music Examinations board (AMEB).
I’ve been fortunate to study theater in Europe with renowned acting teachers Jacques Lecoq, Peter Brook, Jerzy Grotowski and Cicely Berry.
I’ve spent 20 years in theater, film, and television; and have played many roles from Lady Macbeth to Cleopatra to Blanche Dubois. I appear in the film Great Expectations with Gwyneth Paltrow and Ethan Hawke for Twentieth Century Fox.
I’ve taught acting at Columbia University and New York University and at the ACA (Academy for Classical Acting) at The Shakespeare Theater in Washington DC, in conjunction with George Washington University.
